Lars Berglund at LFV describes the background to the decision:
– "It really involved many considerations", he explains. “The same operational information was stored in many different places within LFV, and this naturally meant greater storing costs and confusion about where the latest version was. Moreover, we needed a more efficient system and to improve how we handled classified documents. The template and drawings management was outdated and could no longer be upgraded securely. Managing operational information was also inefficient and resource intensive.
Advantum's flexibility and broad functionality made it possible to meet these challenges within the framework of a single system.

Thanks to Advantum's configurability and support for both document, case and drawing management, LFV has been able to consolidate its IT environment. Today, Advantum has replaced four previous systems that were used to manage cases, documents and drawings, among other things.
The result is more unified information management, improved control over versions and permissions, and more efficient workflows throughout the organization.
LFV is a public company with approximately 1,300 employees and is responsible for air navigation services for civil and military customers at 32 air traffic control towers in Sweden and at two control centers. The business has a turnover of approximately SEK 3 billion and is headquartered in Norrköping.
As one of Europe's leading players in air navigation services, LFV is continuously working to develop solutions for even safer and more cost-effective air traffic. LFV is also at the forefront in the environmental area, with a clear focus on reducing the environmental impact of aviation.
Nearly 700,000 flights are carried out in Swedish airspace every year. The high level of safety in the aviation industry is based on systematic and preventive work, where clear processes, correct documentation and full traceability are crucial factors – something that permeates LFV's daily work.
