Initially, Advantum was used as a PDM-system (Product Data Management) for technical documentation, where the focus was on handling drawings, 3D models, product and article structures and other technical product information.
Over time, the installation has gradually grown – both in number of users and in functionality. Advantum has thus evolved from a pure PDM support to a central platform for product-related information management.
One of the most mission-critical processes at ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is the company's Change Control-process. This is where Advantum plays a central role. With its powerful workflow support, the system acts as the natural software choice for change management.
Advantum gives the organization full control and overview of a complex process where many different functions and roles are involved. All actions are logged and can be followed in detail, which creates both traceability and transparency.
